There’s no denying that women’s health is complex.

As a woman, vaginal health is part of your life. When it suffers, you suffer. Worse than this, it can feel embarrassing to talk about with closest friends, family or even your doctor.

The reality is that female anatomy has a lot of working parts, and through life changing experiences such as pregnancy and menopause, vaginal changes happen. It’s important to see them as a natural part of aging and to know there is nothing ‘wrong’.

The good news is that doctors today can offer an efficient, cost-effective therapy that addresses changes in vaginal tissue related to aging, pregnancy tissue damage, or menopause.

For many years, the go-to solution to almost every women’s health issue has involved hormonal therapy. But today, things have changed.

Introducing diVa Vaginal Therapy

diVa laser vaginal therapy, which is a recent innovation can help you unleash your “inner diVa” through effective therapy for medical conditions.

Utilizing the world’s first Hybrid Fractional Laser (HFL) technology developed by surgeons, physicians and medical experts, diVa counteracts the detrimental effects of age, childbirth, and menopause to improve vaginal atrophy, dryness, pain, and mild urinary accidents due to bouncing or pressure.

This science was first applied to resurfacing and rejuvenating facial skin. The widely-recognized rejuvenating effects of laser therapy for the face and neck are now translating into vaginal benefits too.

The diVa therapy treats the vaginal tissue to increase secretions and encourages the body to increase collagen production. It helps to regenerate healthy tissue to improve vaginal health, and correct the degeneration that contributes to painful sex.

Best of all, it’s a comfortable and discreet solution.

Non-Hormonal and Non-Surgical Vaginal Therapy

Menopause and other body changes such as a hysterectomy, chemotherapy, or the process of breastfeeding, can lead to reduced estrogen production by the ovaries. This often leads to thinning, drying, and inflammation of the vaginal walls.

In many cases, especially in the past, the solution was hormone replacement therapy.

However, women who undergo Hormonal therapy can face an increased risk of endometrial cancer, risk of blood clots and stroke as well as chance of gallbladder or gallstone problems.

diVa is a non-hormonal treatment, meaning no drugs are needed as it treats the vaginal tissue directly. With the right treatment, vaginal tissue can be repaired by the body’s own healing response.

As well as this diVa Laser Vaginal Therapy is non-surgical. The treatment is an in-office procedure and takes approximately 5-8 minutes to perform after the numbing cream has been applied for 25 minutes. Usually 3 sessions are performed, about 4 weeks apart. Sometimes a follow-up treatment is performed 12 months later (or as needed).

During the treatment some women can experience a slight pressure or minimal discomfort against the vaginal wall. Some patients may experience increased sensitivity near the vaginal opening.

As the treatment is a non-invasive, most women may resume most activities immediately but should refrain from sexual activity for 48 hours.
